I have always been known as an artist of many names. Although I am primarily Himeko Katagiri, I have used many aliases over the years. This list is of my public aliases, their genres, and their statuses. Please note that my creativity is unpredictable, and aliases can open/close/go on hiatus/etc without any given notice. Only aliases with at least one release will be listed here, also note, there are missing aliases both public and private.
11:30PM
Genre: House
Status: Alive
Information: You may not guess it from my usual noisy lolicore chaos, but I do enjoy regular styles of dance music as well. This alias has explored many different styles of house, from moelick, to highly avant-garde outsider house, and your classic four-on-the-floor bangers.
1960's Daisuki
Genre: HNW
Status: Dead
Information: My earliest explorations into the HNW genre, starting in 2015. Ironically this was a bit of an "anti-HNW" project, as it actually features gradual progression in the tracks. Additionally, everything was sourced from blowing into microphones.
3-kyū
Genre: Nightcore
Status: Dead
Information: MaedaSalt made me do it. Jokes aside, this really was created just for MaedaSalt's label, Sad Dude Nightcore. It's had a few releases here and there, but was never something that I really took that seriously.
Belgum Trail
Genre: IDM / Ambient
Status: Alive
Information: Pretty old alias of mine, active since around 2012. This is my primary project for IDM, with occasional ambient releases. This alias explores many sides of IDM, from more repetitive melancholic tracks to high-speed drill'n'bass. Also, this is named after a real trail, one that I've been going on since I was a baby, and no, it's not a typo for "Belgium".
An-Nāṣirah
Genre: Industrial
Status: Coma
Information: Highly conceptual alias about the plight of Christians in the Middle East. Stylistically has a slew of inspirations, but also mixed a lot of my own ideas here (such as a lot of industrial hip-hop influences, turntablism, and so on. This alias replaced the lesser known Burkha ضجيج project (which only appeared on a few compilations and never had a proper release).
Azusa The Raw Data Tester
Genre: Data Sonification
Status: Dead
Information: I was obsessed with raw data for awhile, especially as a teenager. This is simply just raw data tests and experiments, like seeing what different colors sound like and the like. Looking back on it, I have no clue why I even released these tests as albums, but they're out there, somewhere...
Casual Friday
Genre: HNW
Status: Dead
Information: Autistic vintage/"retro" tie hyperfixation as music. I originally planned to make way more of these as I have a ton of old ties, but for whatever reason stopped after only a few releases. I don't even remember the log-in information for this project, gone with the wind.
CCCCCCCCxxxxxxxcxxccxc
Genre: Cybergrind
Status: Dead
Information: Old dead joke cybergrind project that was essentially a parody of internet cybergrind acts. Many jokes and tongue-in-cheek mockery. Project name came from keyboard spam that I sent to a friend, I thought it looked like a grindcore band name so just went with it, it's essentially what kicked off the whole idea.
Celluloid Nightmares
Genre: HNW
Status: Coma
Information: Personally, one of my favorite conceptual HNW projects of mine. Every release is based on a Japanese movie, with the track duration matching the runtime of the movie. Also, yes, I love Japanese movies and have seen hundreds of them. I would still keep this alias going but at this point in my career, I'm not really interested in doing "spam" releases.
Concrete Coffin Lolita
Genre: HNW
Status: Coma
Information: I think this is my second HNW alias, and the first "real" HNW project (1960's Daisuki hardly counts). I still love this project name so I don't want to delcare it as dead, but I don't have many (any) plans for its future. This alias is basically just your standard HNW, but there's some ultra minimalist HNW as well.
DJ Most Recent Addition
Genre: Experimental Hip-Hop
Status: Dead
Information: I got annoyed at hip-hop sampling and decided that I would just pick stuff from the most recent Discogs submissions, which was, well, not that great of an idea. This was basically scrapped and killed off as soon as I started it, but it did have a release, so alas, it is included here.
DJ Nonstick Cookware
Genre: DJ Sets, Plunderphonics, Mash-Ups, Screw
Status: Alive
Information: Kind of a catch-all alias for an assortment of sample-based concepts. Originally started as just an alias for Mixcloud "sets", it later grew into my project for informal improvised DJing (often using physical media, and streamed on Discord or Twitch). The name is also used for a lot of various plunderphonics things, screw, mash-ups -- basically anything where entire other songs are being re-purposed.
DJ Nurse Joy
Genre: Mashcore, Breakcore, IDM, Etc.
Status: Coma
Information: One of my oldest aliases, didn't really have a proper album until 2011, but if I recall correctly, this alias was spawned in the late 00s. It was basically started as the fun and less-serious alter-ego to balance out the other name that I was using at the time, that being Faxmachinecarcrash.
DJ Tsundere Violence
Genre: DJ Mixes
Status: Dead
Information: Really needless alternate name for DJing sets of strictly only Tsundere Violence works. Figured it was just confusing to people to DJ as so many names, so killed it off in favor of just DJing as Himeko Katagiri.
DJ ебать війни
Genre: Hardvapour
Status: Dead
Information: Old anti-war hardvapour project, was against the first problems between Ukraine and Russia, back before most of the world took that part of the world seriously, I was incredibly concerned due to multiple friends of mine being Ukrainian. This alias was created to draw awareness. Musically, it was all drum machine live improvisations inspired by the hardvapour "craze" that was going on at the time.
Dog-Eared Loli
Genre: Pseudo-Zoogrind
Status: Dead
Information: One-off alias inspired by zoogrind, but instead of an actual animal as the vocalist, it's just me barking like a dog over very short grindcore blasts. It's needless to say why this only lasted one album.
Faxmachinecarcrash
Genre: Breakcore, IDM, Speedcore
Status: Dead
Information: One of my earliest aliases (though not my first), started in around 2007 or 2008. Very awful music as I was a child and absolutly sucked, and most of it never released publicly, just being burned CDrs that I gave out to family.
File City
Genre: Vaporwave, Broken Transmission, Signalwave
Status: Dead
Information: One off alias based around my immense nostalgia for Digimon. The one and only album that exists was entirely made out of various Digimon commercials. I probably could've thought of more album ideas back then, but never revisited the project, and likely never will.
Frostbitten Freezerburned McFlurry Moon Forests Of Spooky Darkness
Genre: Joke Black Ambient
Status: Dead
Information: Improvised black ambient (not to be confused with dark ambient) project that was short-lived, awful, and a complete unfunny joke. This was the kind of stuff that I made when I was bored and up way too late in the 2010s, no reason to even seek these releases out now.
Fumiko Ishino
Genre: Acid
Status: Dead
Information: Live jam acid project, eventually closed it in favor of the new name Smiley Baby. Once I got actual acid techno hardware I retired this (primarily) software based project.
Gorelick
Genre: Jazzgrind, Avant-garde Jazz
Status: Dead
Information: Vintage-MIDI-Jazz-Cybergrind (with eroge soundtrack inspirations); well, that was the idea at least. This was all a bunch of freaked out MIDI music that I made, ran through an actual SC-88Pro, then screamed over the recordings. It only had one proper album, then some random releases here and there. Maybe I revisit the project's original intentions, but I have no plans on doing so for now.
Harem Noise Wall
Genre: HNW
Status: Coma
Information: Probably my most known HNW project, Harem Noise Wall. Very autistic anime girl obsessions, each wall dedicated to different anime girls that I like. I still take the whole "waifu" thing extremely seriously, but I could not be stopped in the 2010s with this sort of thing. I still love this project and absolutely could keep it going, but as stated before, no interest in "spam" releases currently.
HarshNoise Suzumiya
Genre: Lolinoise
Status: Dead
Information: Alternate noise project that I had in the first half of the 2010s, basically the lesser-known sister of my main noise porject, Ninja McTits. There wasn't much need for this alias to exist, hence it being dead now, but you can't deny, it's a great name!
Himeko Katagiri
Genre: Lolicore, Breakcore, Mashcore, Speedcore, Raggacore, Reizokore, Etc.
Status: Alive
Information: My main and most well known name that I use. Starting in 2011, this is my original lolicore project, and also my first (and only) music persona. I became Himeko Katagiri immediately after discovering lolicore in 2011, I instantly became OBSESSED with the genre, which has lead to many many many years of hardcore lolicore devotion. This project is most known for very noisy and chaotic lolicore, but I actually make a lot of different -core stuff as this name.
Hot Tub Full Of Menstrual Blood
Genre: Gorenoise
Status: Dead
Information: There was a period in the mid-2010s where I became obsessed with all walks of grindcore and made a slew of aliases, many of which never actually got any releases (though logos did exist). This project was one of those many dumb ideas, a gorenoise project using an actual hot tub as a vocalist. It only had one release, but it exists.
HOUSE PLANTオーディオ
Genre: Vaportrap / Vaporwave
Status: Dead
Information: Pretty sure this was my first forray into the vapor family of genres. Closed before it ever even had a proper release (but there was an archival release in 2019). This later split off into several other projects.
Human Instrumentality
Genre: Techno / Freetekno
Status: Coma
Information: Alias for techno explorations, seperate from but a spiritual sister to my acid projects (Smiley Baby and Fumiko Ishino) and my house project, 11:30PM. There hasn't been much material produced as this alias, but it's not officially closed either -- maybe one day I pick it back up again.
Kasha Ov Blazing Fires
Genre: Drone Doom Metal
Status: Coma
Information: Touhou themed doujin drone doom project. Releases have always been a mix of planned riffs and live improvisations. I haven't touched this project since 2019, but maybe one day it returns -- certainly don't want to kill it off.
Knights Ov The Eastern Calculus
Genre: Black Metal
Status: Coma
Information: Black metal project themed on the anime serial experiments lain. Made during my black metal era in the mid-2010s.
Kvvv
Genre: Post-Modernist Black Metal, Musique Concrete
Status: Dead
Information: Extremely experimental black metal project. Was a one-off release, but explored heavily deconstructing raw black metal to minimalistic basic forms.
Lain The Raw Data Archivist
Genre: Data Sonification
Status: Dead
Information: Basically vintage raw data noise project, making the data on recycled floppy disks into songs before I format them. The label that most of these were on deleted everything and I have no idea where my personal files are of these (and likely wouldn't re-issue them even if I did have them), good luck finding these!
Lolitendo
Genre: Chiptune/Anti-Chiptune/Chipbreak
Status: Coma
Information: My ancient chiptune project, explored all walks of chiptune. Maybe I return to chiptune one day.
Lonely Spacecraft
Genre: Space Ambient
Status: Alive
Information: My alias for space ambient (a conceptual genre that's basically a fusion of dark ambient and drone with space themes). Albums and songs from this project tend to be lengthy, and it's highly recommended to listen to this alias in both total darkness and the freezing cold at crushing volumes.
Manbavaran
Genre: Pumpkin Synth, Dungeon Synth, Comfy Synth
Status: Alive
Information: Little Witch Academia fan project, explores the LWA universe through a dungeon synth lens.
